I absolutely love Rest by Alex Soojung-Kim Pang, it will change your work-life. I also enjoyed Design Your Day by Claire Diaz-Ortiz and What the Most Successful People Do Before Breakfast by Laura Vanderkam.
Hands down the Full Focus Planner by Michael Hyatt. I am all about creating a checklist and getting stuff done. Check it out here: http://fullfocusstore.com?aff=409
What are my top 3 priorities for this day? If I get those big 3 accomplished I feel productive and focused. If I’ve lost my way I go right back to my Full Focus Planner because I’ve already jotted down my goals for the day.
Use a template you find online. YIKES! Especially the outdated ones.
Mindfulness and being present in the moment. I’ve started taking daily nature walks and I’ve not found a better way to reduce anxiety and increase joy.
The investment of self-care. I neglected it for 15 years and it took its toll on me, my work, and my relationships. The best thing I’ve done in the past 12 months is focus on self-care.

I always say if I didn’t do what I do, I’d be a teacher. I love learning and passing on knowledge.
Keep doing what you’re doing. Your ambition is going to pay off one day.
Growing like crazy. It’s continuing to expand.
I admire my Dad. He battled cancer last year and kept a positive outlook and strong faith through every single tough step. It inspires me every day.
It’s too hard for candidates to get through the system and too hard for hiring managers to find the right candidates. We need a simpler and more streamlined process.

Research the company you’re targeting. Find connections on LinkedIn and engage with them. When you get an interview ask questions that show you know about the company and did research prior to the interview. This impresses employers big time.
How to follow up on an application. Search LinkedIn for the hiring manager and send a message to them to introduce yourself.
Too much personal information (marriage, DOB, number of children).
Always put the position title at the top of your resume. Hiring managers do now want to have to guess which position you want.
Don’t put graduation dates on your resume!
Graduation dates. Pronouns! Save the “I”, “me”, and “my” for your cover letter and LinkedIn profile.
